Simple, stable, and ready for everyday practice

IKUKO® Basic carries the same distinctive curved solid-birch seat and the same postural approach as the IKUKO® Original. Its fixed legs create a permanent, stable construction for use at home, in a meditation room, studio, retreat centre, or workplace wellness space.

The curved and arched seat distributes support across a broad surface and helps the pelvis settle into a balanced position. By opening the angle between the thighs and torso, the kneeling posture allows the spine to organize itself more naturally, with less unnecessary effort through the lower back and upper body.

The Basic is fully assembled and always ready to use. It is the right choice when portability is not essential and the bench will remain in a dedicated location.

Designed through more than 17 years of ergonomic experience, IKUKO® Basic is made in Québec in small batches from locally sourced solid birch.

A permanent place for practice

IKUKO® Basic is intended for spaces where the bench can remain assembled and close at hand. Its quiet form fits naturally into residential interiors, yoga studios, meditation centres, retreat spaces, and contemplative workplace environments.

A carrying bag is not included with the Basic model.
